In short, anyone can write new pages or modify existing pages and we encourage all genealogists to do just that. You do have to create a user name and password, which is free. We do not share that information with anyone else nor do we flood your in-box with email.
Once you are a registered user, look at the menu you see in the upper right corner of most pages on this site. Look under PAGE. To create a new page, click on NEW. To edit an existing page, go to the page you wish to modify and then click on EDIT.
If you would like to practice this, you may do so in the SANDBOX. That is place designated for practice and everything in the SANDBOX gets deleted within a few hours. For more information, look in the menus to your left and click on HOW TO CONTRIBUTE INFORMATION TO THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF GENEALOGY.
Thank you.
