Declaration of Intention
A Declaration of Intention can have two different meanings in the United States:
- a
document filed in a court by an alien stating that he or she intends to
become a United States citizen. Also called a Declaration of
Intent.
- a declaration filed by a couple in a local court, indicating their intention to marry.
